About Your Trainer

Hi everyone, I'm Annie Schara. I'm a Certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College, and I have been an animal lover my whole life. I knew my passion for animals would lead me to a career when I got my eldest dog, Lily in 2007. To say the least, she saved my life. I was in a very dark place when I decided to get her and I can say with absolute certainty that if it wasn't for her I do not think I would be here anymore. Lily was very broken when I got her, it was almost as if we picked each other because we needed each other. Lily and I needed each other to build up trust, and confidence in ourselves. It took years to rehabilitate Lily, she had come from an abusive owner after 6 years. When I finally saw what a difference in her a couple years later I realized that working with dogs was what I wanted to do. I almost finished school in Wisconsin to become a Veterinary Technician but due to my husband being stationed out in DC for the military, I was not able to finish. That's when I decided to become a Certified Dog Trainer and haven't regretted it since.

I've officially been certifed since October of 2015, but have been working with dogs for 9 years. I found out I was pregnant shortly after with my son Maddax. I am a mother of a human baby and of two furbabies Lily and Bacardi. Lily was adopted in 2007 and we adopted Bacardi as a puppy in 2013.

I'm incredibly passionate about animals, especially dogs because of the relationship I've formed over the years with Lily. I want to give back to dogs what she has given to me. I've learned a valuable lesson about life from her, and it is my goal to save as many dogs as I can in this life.
